I am Anthony Ha, 26. I am a writer, and I enjoy writing for the same reasons others do: it gives me a medium in which I grant myself unlimited authority and control, becoming a God upon paper and a creator of all things. I mean, that's what other writers think about when they go about their scripting, right?
My interests are vast and varied, but are generally oriented towards garnering attention. Unlike most people, I acknowledge that everything I do is to make sure people like me, particularly if one of those people is myself. I believe that all acts of kindness are done to ensure that someone feels good about us. Some religious folks would say that they do good deeds to please their various deities. Good on them. Proves my point. We all want to feel proud about something, and such pride is fueled by the positive energy of ourselves and others.
I believe in pride. It's okay to be an ego-maniac as long as you're not hurting anyone. If you become upset with an ego-maniac, despite the fact that he/she is harmless, then you're an asshole. I admit, sometimes I am that asshole. But being an asshole is okay, too. As long as you're not hurting anyone. The important thing is retaining integrity, and to admit when you're being an ego-maniacal asshole.
I believe in integrity. I define integrity as being aware of our flaws and embracing them. We all lie, inadvertently or not, and we all contradict our beliefs and statements sometimes. There's nothing wrong with being a hypocritical bullshitter as long as we acknowledge it when someone points it out. It's even better if we point it out before someone else does. After all, the only way to retain our integrity is to have control over our image and character.
I believe in having character. Do something stupid. Get a little out of hand. Push the boundary of social conventions, and see how far you can go before you get arrested. Sometimes people get hurt while you're experimenting. Oops. The important thing is to make sure you learn something new about yourself, or add something new to your profile. In the end, as long as no one gets killed, you'll end up contributing more to humanity than you took.
In theory, anyway.
